Time discovers truth.
This week I am a student in the pursuit of knowledge acquiring truths in the field of sound. Oftentimes people do not want to hear the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed. Thus Thomas Orr Anderson, a prominent physicist, advised us to identify our assumptions, validate as many as possible and to eliminate the invalid ones to find that which we can hold as most true. This is akin to the Michelangelo effect of taking a block of marble and carving out everything that is not the statue. Questioning our beliefs requires an open mind that is not an end in itself by a means to the end of finding truth. Peter Kreft
It's not easy to question that which we have held as true and even harder still to accept the new version of the truth however it is part and parcel of a life long continuous learner. When was the last time you questioned and validated your beliefs?
