Quarantine is a surreal pause where normal activity ceases and one enters a twilight zone. How quickly we develop the Pavlovian response to the doorbell and supper. Had I a tail, it surely would have wagged. We gaze out the window, separated from our old life by a pane of glass, pages of bureaucracy, tests and temperature checks. For me 3 days quarantine offered a chance for uninterrupted productivity and imposed rest. My body adapted to the time zone and the excitement grew as my checkout time approached.
