Often when you think you're at the end of something, you're at the beginning of something else. Fred Rogers
The sliver of light between closed doors represented my ever present hope as the day we have been waiting for has finally arrived. Tonight we throw open the doors for public events once again (albeit at half capacity.) The brownies are made, tea is brewing and mats ready to receive you this evening. I look forward to welcoming you.
Fare-thee-well
Good byes are not forever. They simply mean I will miss you until we meet again. anon
Today I said farewell to a good friend. Her bags are backed and she ready to go. After many years in Hong Kong she is off. She takes memories and the love of her friends to return to her home country to begin the next chapter of her life. The transition into retirement, sorting prized possessions, shipping a beloved feline, packing and securing a seat on a plane are all behind. Tomorrow she steps onto the plane, to awake to a new dawn, a new life of settling in back home and reconnecting with what once was. What lies ahead is of her choosing. The freedom of starting afresh, to write that book, to simply be. All starting with a well earned rest. Her path may not be clear, but Faith is taking the first step even if you can't see the whole staircase. Martin Luther King Jr
As she turns to her future I look to our shared memories. Fare-thee-well my friend, may you continue to be happy and prosper. I have no doubt we will meet again.
Great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget. anon
