Finding Balance

Life is like a bicycle. To maintain your balance you must keep moving forward. Albert Einstein

Today is the summer equinox, when night equals day. It signifies the changing of the seasons.  Like the seasons we too must change to grow.  COVID created a state of homeostasis – a self – regulating process to maintain stability while adjusting to changing external conditions.

But Life is balance between holding on and letting go. Rumi.  Balance is not something you find, it's something you create. Jana Kinsgsford

 What are you waiting for?

You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes you can steer yourself in any direction you choose. Dr. Seuss

Where will you go?

Slip Sliding Away

Slip Slidin' Away"

This song by Paul Simon actually refers to people who retreat from their passions when confronted with the vagaries of life.  This week tested my resolve.  From needing to move home with two weeks notice to helplessly watching my phone slide gracefully out of my purse into the depths of Aberdeen Harbour sashaying mockingly into the murk.  I was this close to diving in.

You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

Persistence, determination and belief will help you stay the course.  So too will knowing when to fold them, knowing when to walk away and knowing when to run.  In order to move forward, we need to let go of habits, dated patterns, possessions, relationships and ways of being rather than stubbornly cling to our status quo.  When you do let go magic enters. My kundalini class has doubled in size,  67 gongs arrived for sale, I found a new home and I am being filmed for a promotional video showcasing nature and sound in Hong Kong for global distribution.

This week choose to go with the flow with a smile. You never know…
